One person was detained following a two-month long narcotics investigation after the sheriff’s office served a search warrant this morning in Centralia.

Deputies with the Lewis County Regional Drug Task Force were joined by Centralia police about 8:45 a.m. at the 1000 block of North Pearl Street, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Also assisting were SWAT teams from both agencies, according to Centralia police; as well as personnel from the state Department of Corrections, Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said.

Brown did not say who was detained but expected to release more details after the weekend. Further arrests are expected, she said.

OhForCryingOutLOUD!, I have a better plan: When these “people” get sent up the river for their drug crimes, start confiscating EVERYTHING they own, and make THEM pay for it. I feel that way about ANY criminal sentenced to prison…. make THEM pay for it. Enough of this liberal “but they are from a poor family” or “they had such a bad childhood” nonsense. Hold them accountable for what they do, and make it HURT when you punish them!

Of course, people will go “We can’t take their house of car… what about their families?” to which I say “TOO BAD… they should have thought about that BEFORE they committed their crimes”.

As for me paying for the cost of “confinement”, no I do NOT like paying for these scumbags to take extended vacations in a spa-like resort where they have better amenities and services than I do…. and I’m not a criminal!!!! Pretty sad when scum has more rights and privileges than those of us who try to do the right thing.

George – you volunteering to pay for the cost of confinement? Drug court costs less in the long run. It is a benefit to taxpayers or we wouldn’t do it. Course, you do lose that whole vindictive eye for an eye thing… if you are in to that.

Glad that they made a start with one arrest, and hopefully will get the rest of them soon. I am assuming that the drug operation will be shut down, and maybe the building siezed too? Thank you for your dangerous, and hard work LCSO

It is unfortunate that many feel Drug Court is a failure . To make a long story short , I was in Drug Court and although I didn’t graduate I would never think It as failing me or anyone . I am solely responsible for failing myself . I believe Drug Court made me a better person and so do all those that know me . It boils down to each Drug addicted person learning to be honest , humble , and to love themselves and Drug Court gave me all of that and more .

  7. George says:

Someone else who will more than likely get drug court and nothing more. Another epic fail of the system.

  8. Troy H. says:

Good job guys. Now move right on down Norht Pearl and get the other house along there.
