BURGLARY

• Centralia police were called yesterday morning to the 2000 block of Gallagher Road where someone someone broke into a shop around 2 a.m. and took two Stihl chainsaws.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is reporting this morning that a deputy answered a call last Friday to the 2100 block of Salzer Valley Road outside Centralia in which someone went beneath a house and cut out the copper pipes for the plumbing. Also missing from outbuildings were items such as a dirt bike, tools, beer signs and model cars, according to the sheriff’s office. A blue and white 1990s Ford pickup truck was seen in the area, Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said. The sheriff’s office is hoping anyone who saw the truck will call 911 or Crime Stoppers.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports this morning that someone cut locks on two cargo trailers at the 300 block of Mineral Creek Road, a burglary that was reported on Sunday morning. Among the items stolen from Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad were tools and spools of wire, according to the sheriff’s office. Someone used an electric cart to carry the items away, Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said.

THEFT

• A red Habro bike was reported stolen from a fenced yard on the 800 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia yesterday. Also yesterday, a white, black and silver Air Max dirt bike-style bicycle was reported found stashed in some bushes on the 200 block of East Locust Street, according to the Centralia Police Department.

WRECKS

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports this morning a deputy arrested a 26-year-old Winlock woman for a hit and run on Sunday in which she allegedly was speeding along the 500 block of Gish Road in Onalaska and struck several unspecified objects along the side the road including a small shop. Kelsey R. Grant receive minor cuts from the incident and was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown. There was major damage to her 2007 Chevrolet pickup, Brown said.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports this morning a 24-year-old Centralia man was arrested for driving under the influence on Saturday evening when he flipped his Nissan pickup onto its top in the area of Cooks Hill and Lincoln Creek roads. Samuel J. Billman was bruised and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports this morning a deputy arrested a man on Saturday afternoon for driving under the influence after his vehicle ran into a utility pole on the 1100 block of Winlock-Vader Road. William M. Bowers, 68, of Toledo,  sustained some minor cuts and was  booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown.

STARING CLOWN KID

• Chehalis police were called about 6:40 p.m. yesterday to the 800 block of Southwest 21st Street where woman said her husband just had a conversation with an orange-haired teenager wearing clown makeup who had been staring into their house. The woman said she would call back if the clown returned, according to police.
