Sharyn’s Sirens: Daily police and fire roundup

VICTIM TAKES ON CAR PROWLER

• An 18-year-old Centralia man exchanged punches with a stranger he found prowling his car early this morning on the 700 block of Field Avenue. Police called about 4:35 a.m. learned the owner of the car pushed the subject to the ground as he tried to flee and “the fight was on,” Sgt. Kurt Reichert said. But the 18-year-old was struck and left dazed, so the prowler got away, according to police. The would-be thief was described as a scruffy, thin-faced male, Reichert said.

SHERIFF: MAN THROWS GIRLFRIEND ONTO FLOOR

• A 46-year-old Chehalis man was arrested last night after he allegedly threw his girlfriend on a concrete floor and tried to choke her during a fight. A deputy called about 11:40 p.m. to the 600 block of Centralia-Alpha Road east of Chehalis found the 26-year-old woman had bumps on the back and front of her head but she declined aid, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Gerald R. Ebner was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, according to the sheriff’s office.

LOCKED UP INSTEAD OF RUN OVER

• Centralia police responded about 11:15 p.m. yesterday to the 2300 block of North Pearl Street where a drunk man was laying in the middle of the road and trying to pick fights with motorists as they passed by him, according to the Centralia Police Department. Jacob L. Hyde, 25, of Centralia, was arrested and booked in to the Lewis County Jail for disorderly conduct, according to police.

COFFEE STAND BREAK-IN

• An employee arriving to a coffee stand on the 1500 block of Bishop Road in Chehalis about 4:30 a.m. today discovered someone had broken in and stole the cash drawer containing about $200, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

TOLEDO-AREA THEFTS

• A deputy took a report yesterday afternoon about a 2400-watt Yamaha generator stolen from a pump house on the 1500 block of state Route 505 in Toledo. The victim, a Seattle man, said it must have happened sometime since the beginning of September, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The loss is $1,100.

• A Toledo resident called the sheriff’s office yesterday when she discovered someone went into her unsecured barn on the 400 block of Tucker Road sometime during the previous two weeks and left with numerous motorcycle engine pieces, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

FRAUD REPORT

• A Centralia officer took a report yesterday from a man regarding his stolen debit card being used around town.

VANDALISM

• Police took a report from a bank on the 1200 block of South Gold Street in Centralia around noon yesterday after pry marks were found on its ATM machine. A repair person found the damage after the ATM stopped working, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CHEHALIS CAR PROWLS CONTINUE

• Chehalis police took another vehicle prowl report just after 4 a.m. today, this one at the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street. Missing were documents with account information for the truck, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Yesterday, police were called about three vehicle prowls that occurred overnight in the area of the 400 blocks of Southwest 15th and 16th Avenues in Chehalis.

ELDERLY DRIVER SERIOUSLY HURT IN CRASH

• An 81-year-old Mossyrock woman was flown to Harborview Medical Center in  Seattle after a two-vehicle collision at Jackson Highway and Avery Road East yesterday morning. A deputy arriving after the 10:40 a.m. accident south of Chehalis found both vans were totaled after the woman ran a stop sign onto Jackson Highway, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the other vehicle who was traveling north on Jackson Highway was unhurt, as was his 5-year-old passenger, but his 6-year-old passenger sustained facial abrasions, according to the sheriff’s office. The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital with serious injuries before being airlifted to the Seattle hospital, Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said.

CENTRALIA KITCHEN FIRE

• A forgotten fry pan of tater tots and cooking oil led to a kitchen fire yesterday west of Centralia that filled a home with smoke and scorched a wall and cabinets. Firefighters called about 3:30 p.m. to the 2500 block of Kristine Court learned the resident was alerted by a smoke detector. He took his young daughter next door, tried to get a fire extinguisher and returned to pour salt on the stove, Riverside Fire Authority Capt. Terry Ternan said. Ternan said smoke was coming from the eves of the home when they arrived, but the flames were out. He wasn’t sure if the man used a fire extinguisher, but said firefighters recommend people keep one in their kitchens. Salt might work, but baking soda is better, Ternan said. Another strategy is to put a lid on the pan if that’s possible, he said.

Pinkie Sense “says” DCE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look further into Agenda 21, and consider shifting from ranting about bad cops to educating others about the UN’s proposed control, starting with the US. I am so scared by what it means.
Pinkie I have been trying to wake the community up. The first step is to get the public off the Sodium Fluoride in the drinking water. You have to raise the IQ of the public and stop Fluorides Docile affects on our innocent citizens. Many poeople are sick and dying from it’s effects. Look around at members of the community, you will see the weight problem that many have. This is from the the thyroid damage fluoride causes. I cannot finish waking up people to the Agenda 21 issue until the Drugs are removed from the water supply. Maybe if more people stood up to the City Council and demanded that fluoride be removed I could then address the Agenda 21 issue. I do know about the water well meters that are coming, Smart Meters have already been placed on many homes to conform with Agenda 21 already. Trying to explain all of this to the common football watching, GMO, Vaccine, Sports Fan is like talking to the wall. People think I’m nuts, when In fact I’m very educated about the Governments Agenda to kill us all and take our propertys. Enjoy the Chem Trails Lewis County!
We will never have a future if we don’t stand up to the Broken Hijacked Government. Will you stand up against City Hall with me?

  2. OldLongJohnson says:

“Keep handing it out Democrats. The budget can handle it.”

If the government didn’t “hand out” food, there would a line of starving people from Vancouver to Seattle.

But that’s exactly what the Republicans wants.

  3. Pinkie Sense says:

DCE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look further into Agenda 21, and consider shifting from ranting about bad cops to educating others about the UN’s proposed control, starting with the US. I am so scared by what it means! Taxing the internet! Environmental impacts! Death panels! Water restrictions!

What about water rights? Anyone in LC familiar with meters on their wells for “monitoring” their water usage? Or how about the fact that rain barrels are illegal, but drive by the new apartments on Harrison and check out all their high-quality collection barrels!! Because the water belongs to the state, not the private land owners….

A21 goes way beyond a few corrupt cops… the US has the authority to detain a citizen without cause, in the name of “anti-terrorism”. You think that the CPD was bad to you, consider how the National Guard will be….. non-local, military trained….

So instead of a few local bad apples, we will be facing a new wave of nineteen-eighty-four.

How about after the hurricanes swept through the south, and the NG went through and unarmed the citizens? You really think that it can’t happen here??

Now that the state has controls over pot, do you really think that they will allow one the right to grow and smoke it? Even before the new law passed, people were allowed to grow a small amount. Now that the state has it, they won’t want you to have it, and you will have lost that right to grow your own quality, and quantity of product.

Did anyone hear about Ebay and their stance on “urine”?? Google it!

Chaps my hide to learn that riding a sea animal will get you 60 days in jail, while abusing a child gets only 30 days more…..

“Live well and prosper” will take on a whole new meaning, if not “live well and do whatever it takes to survive”. Which, of course, will increase the crime rate. 51% of people on food stamps means less than 49% of people paying for themselves and others to eat. So of course we will see people stealing pain meds, which the government hooked them into, and then took away. Stealing TV’s, because while food stamps pay for heat and housing, they don’t pay for tv (like the one was allowed in jail). Breaking into cars and houses just to find anything of value to trade in for their next fix, or peanut butter for their kids. It will only get worse, and then our dear “Lord and Savior” Big Brother will step in and help out, and we will all be equals, with no need to steal, or commit crimes, or have a desire to be different.

And will I be punished for speaking out? I hope not… Praise to the Republic….

  4. BabyWithTheBathwayter says:

Wait! Don’t thorw out the baby with the bathwater! Just because “some” people (of all ages, no just 18) trade EBT cards for drugs doesn’t mean ALL do.

How about they institute a better method of id for the cards? It will mean installing new equipment in stores for instandce, to read thumbprints, but wouldn’t that work?

  5. Dirty Cop Enforcer says:

LC Tax payer there is a sterotype about me, I do work many odd jobs. I am a flooring Contractor by trade and have many other talents. The Spew from the local cops is just that, Spew! When criminals get caught in the act they will say anything to try and protect their lies. I have a challenge, stop by the local hub tavern and look at the same drunks hanging out their everday, how do they keep affoarding alcohol? Or look at all the spanish drug dealer’s in the communtiy. Heck I have even recorded large cocaine deals on video in Centralia, but who do you give the info too when the cops are involed also? Sheez the FBI is a Joke!

  6. LC Tax Payer says:

DCE, I am glad to hear you are seeking out work. I was concerned that your income was through illegal activities but your comment makes sense and explains how you have many days off. What doesn’t make sense is how a able bodied 18 year old man or woman is entitled to $200.00 in food stamps in Washington State. In alot of cases mid level drug dealers accept the recharged EBT card in trade for drugs. This is a fact. Ask any cop that deals with drug users and dealers.

Keep handing it out Democrats. The budget can handle it.

  7. Dirty Cop Enforcer says:

“Chris” I feel you on moving, but the sad thing is that this is happening all over America. Our jobs have been out sourced through trade agreements and now our local Government is selling us out. Right now the Agenda 21 program that is United Nations sponsored is stealing properties from our fellow Americans all over the Country. If I have to explain Agenda 21 to people you should look it up before you speak. Trade agreements and Tax credits for the rich are choking out the middle class. Most large American Companies don’t even have to pay taxes, but if your a small business owner you pay through the nose. The Federal Government and the Criminals that are in Charge want to see America brought to her knees. Think about this, over 51% of America is on food stamps. You don’t see the Poverty stricken food lines because people are Given Credit Cards. If this program was a food line where you were fed daily, I gaurantee you their would be a line from Centralia to Seattle with people waiting to be fed. Each day I call into Labor Ready at 6 O’clock in the morning to put my name on a list for work, and each day I’m not called back. The reason why is that their are no jobs avaliable. The problems with crime are only going to increase as the system implodes into wide sticken poverty. Our Government has Sold the the foundation of this country to the New World Order. Prepare for a Hell Storm in the Near Future… My recomendation is to protect yourself and your neighbors, because Law Enforcemnt is their just to take the report. God Bless Centralia we are going to go through a bumpy ride. DCE

  8. chris says:

And DCE in the “wild west” we could protect or homes and property with force. now a days you can’t depend the law to be on your side.

  9. chris says:

yes DCE crime is out of control in chehalis- centralia area. i feel very unsafe. drugs and theft go hand in hand. if the drugs could be stopped the crime would go down. everyone should get very mean watch dogs and tall fences. the crime rate is so high that normal ppl can’t afford to leave thier property alone. (cars, homes, barns, anything). how long before upstanding families just pack up and move?

  10. Dirty Cop Enforcer says:

Is the crime starting to pick up in Centralia? OMG it’s like the Wild Wild West all over again….
