CHEHALIS – Finally Weston G. Miller will be arraigned next week, following his March arrest and filing of charges in the shooting death of a house guest in his Centralia home on B Street.

Miller, 30, has been held in the Lewis County Jail on $1 million bail, unable to make his pleas to first-degree murder because of a question whether he was competent.
Prosecutors say it was unprovoked attack when he shot 43-year-old David Wayne Carson twice in the chest area. Miller told police he acted in self-defense.
One expert said previously Miller was competent but another said he was not. However, today, lawyers on both sides signed an order agreeing Miller is now competent to stand trial.
The former welder is also charged with several counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, as when police searched the home they found five guns, a silencer, a laser site for a gun and a bullet-proof vest.
Miller is scheduled to return to Lewis County Superior Court next Thursday to make his pleas and get a trial date scheduled.
His attorney J.P. Enbody said the issue of insanity – at the time of the incident – could still come up.
Carson, a Centralia resident, died on March 13.

Tell us something ‘heartbroken’ . . . was Sara there when he committed all the felonies and other crimes as is shown when you pull up his court history online? Did Sara have any influence at all into the kind of person he was – this grown man? David didn’t work, correct? Did he pay his child support? Wasn’t he homeless at the time of his death and sponging off the guy that ended up shooting him? Why didn’t he work?
David appears to have an extensive criminal background and I am willing to bet that the majority of his negative and self-defeating personality traits and tendencies were in place long before he met Sara. So let’s not put blame where it doesn’t belong. David was obviously no angel.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not tryng to insinuate that David did something that places him to blame for his won death. Quite the contrary. I am truly sorry that you lost your loved one. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I am sure David had good traits and could be a great guy when he chose to be. Nobody deserves to die the way he did and hopefully justice will be served when it comes to the person responsible for his death . . . and that person is NOT Sara!

FYI, in the interest of promoting accurate information … that list is not a rap sheet. It’s a listing of court cases involving a person. A quick scan of it shows six are felony charges. Most of the rest involve municipal courts. You cannot tell by the list how many are criminal, or even if those resulted in a conviction. Or even if they all are for the same individual. Yeah my rap sheet isn’t even near that long, sheesh… How does that guy keep getting out of jail. He has over 62 violations on him. Looks like he’s not the Angel he claimed to be. Yeah, Weston shot him and the State says he wasn’t supposed to own a Gun, but the crime was for 4th degree assault hardly a felony. You see what I’m talling about, Weston never had a felony yet his gun rights were taken from him. The whole community should be up in Arms that Misdemeanors cause people to loose gun rights. It’s time we the people clean up the court system. Americans have a right to protect themselves and David Wayne Carson had a rap sheet from here to Gig Harbor! You know David is a very special person and will always be loved.He told me about alot of things that happenened in his life and also about the future he was a very smart and loving man.If only people would have took time to listen and see what was inside instead of the outside….Maybe now that he has been taken away they will listen now I also beleave that sara played apart in his death she is a evil women inside and out don’t let looks deceve you..She is a wolf in sheeps clothing.I can still here Davids voice,and sometimes I mistake someone for him.He is the wind beneath someones wings.Love you David .
