BURGLARY SUSPECTS CAPTURED IN STOLEN VAN

• Law enforcement officers dealing with an interrupted burglary out on the county caught up to a suspect vehicle on the 1500 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia about 3 o’clock this morning and arrested three men, one of whom ran away but was caught by a police dog. Police allegedly found drugs on two of the van’s occupants and the Toyota mini van they were driving had been stolen from a car lot on North Pearl Street, according to the Centralia Police Department. Arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail were Centralia residents Andrew J. Larson, 20,  for vehicle theft; Chad E. Holmes, 24, for possession of methamphetamine and vehicle theft; and William J. Larson, 49, for vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, according to police. Details about the earlier burglary were not readily available.

SHOPPER GRABS JEWELRY AND RUNS

• Chehalis police were called to the Twin City Town Center about 10:15 a.m. yesterday after a male went into a beauty supply store, grabbed a large jewelry display from the front counter and ran out with it. He jumped into a vehicle and drove away, according to police. The loss is estimated at more than $750, Officer Linda Bailey said.

STOLEN HONDA CIVIC

• A red and gray 1986 Honda Civic was stolen from the 2100 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia sometime between 4 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. yesterday. It has a license plate of ABY 9445, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• A 44-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine around 12:30 p.m. yesterday at the 1100 block of F Street in Centralia. Cheri A. Jones was detained for violation of a protection order, and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ACCIDENT AT CENTRALIA TRANSFER STATION

• Police and aid were called to the Lewis County Transfer Station on the 1400 block of South Tower Avenue about 10 a.m. yesterday when a driver arriving to unload trash accelerated, ran through a stop sign, along a guard rail and collided with the tire of a front end loader. The 60-year-old Rochester man had suffered an unspecified medical issue and was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital, according to police.
