    Thank you bambi

  2. Name (required) says:

RonniesX, I do hope that you have more caution with picking guys in the future. I know that a lot of people are pretty good at hiding their dirty habits, and maybe he fooled you too.

I would be pretty scared to be a young mother today, especially with stories like James Reeder & what he did to his girlfriend’s little girl. Over and over again we read stories about “nice guys” that just make “mistakes” and some young life has to pay for it.

I’m glad that you were able to get out of your unhealthy relationship. I pray that you will be able to focus on your children and not get sucked into the loneliness that attracts bad partners. Your children are only young once, but you will have the rest of their adult lives to find a partner.

  3. I am curious how “we the tax payers are paying for them…” How, at least until they go to jail. Then we absolutely pay for them. To bad we are unwilling to pay for them to go to treatment where they could actually get into recovery.

  4. PayLessTax says:

Melinda states something that many in our county believe – drug addicts are costing too much money. So lets get more money into treatment? Prisons and jails are an EXPENSIVE and TEMPORARY non solution. Prison changes very few, and costs very MUCH. Studies show that treatment works EVEN FOR THOSE WHO DON’T WANT IT.

Don’t believe me? Try searching on the subject at the National Institute of Health. Once we start treating this as a disease and acknowledge that treatment works, things can get better.

Will it be perfect? No. Does that mean we shouldn’t get as many turned around as possible? Should we toss ALL of them in jail when 25% or 35% could be changed from folks sucking money OUT of our society to folks paying money INTO our society?

  5. Bambi says:

Im glad you and your kids are ok tonight..

They have to go out and steal from other people and their famlies.. to get the bag or what ever there drug choice is… I feel kinda of sorry for them.. that they cant work cause there brains are so fried from the drugs and we the taxs payers are paying for them… they are just a waste of life…
