Ronda Reynolds

48 Hours Mystery, CBS’s true crime series, first aired the case in April.

Reynolds, 33, died with a bullet in her head in the home she shared with husband of less than a year, Ron Reynolds and his sons. She was found dead on the floor of a small walk-in closet, covered up by a turned-on electric blanket the morning of Dec. 16, 1998.

Her death was labeled by then-Coroner Terry Wilson and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office as a suicide, but her unconvinced mother Barbara Thompson battled for more than a decade for a more thorough investigation of what she believed was more likely murder.

A five-member inquest jury last year was unanimous in its conclusions of homicide and named Ron and Jonathan Reynolds as responsible.

Ron and Jonathan Reynolds maintain the death was a suicide and they were not involved. They were not charged with any crime.

The piece, dubbed “Mystery on Twin Peaks Drive” will show at 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

Actually DCE, I DO mean what I say and I say it to people’s faces. Hopefully you aren’t categorizing me as one of the “mean” ones you refer to because I don’t seek to be cruel. I merely state very unpleasant truths about the actions of specific groups of individuals whose behavior directly affects myself and my family. This includes the nepotistic criminal “justice” system and law enforcement workers of Lewis County which consists of both good, dedicated professionals who genuinely wish to protect and serve and bad, dishonest, power hungry scumbags who serve their own agenda and follow the law only when it behooves them. This can be said about virtually any other group, be it racial, religious or otherwise. It doesn’t seem as if there was any intent to hide the truth in the Reynolds case as much as there was incompetence on the part of some of the investigators involved, that led one or more individuals literally getting away with murder.

  2. Your leaving for good. Really, come on they were just playing. People don’t really mean all the mean things they say. It’s just Key Board Commando Talk. Hang in there I’m leaving for good. I hope you find a web site that shares your same views.

  3. Leaving This Blog says:

I’m leaving this site for good. Sharyn, you let a bunch of hooligans take it over for their own good. You can have them! Too bad you got bullied.

  4. Guilty Bystander says:

Stop the presses…I agree with OLJ. And that full audit of the LCSO is about as likely to happen as Donald Trump visiting a hairdresser and asking, “Can you do SOMETHING with this???”

Think I’ll get a cold compress and lie down now.

Unfortunately to some, and fortunately for others, the Rhonda Reynolds case has become a part of the national discussion when it comes to betrayal, lies, and homicide.

The Reynolds case, for better of for worse, is a casebook study of how lax oversight of an entire police force can lead to corruption and murder.

This dichotomy of a little to no oversight of departmental rules and a hostile attitude to anyone who might challenge the status quo inevitably results with terrible consequences.

It’s clear to me that there will be no justice for Rhonda Reynolds until there is a complete audit of the Sherrif’s and Police agencies by the federal government via the grand jury. It’s clear that any attempt to find justice within the confines of Lewis County court system will end in failure. There are just too many prominent local officials that are potential witnesses to NOT have a conflict of interest.

    Chris,
    You sure nailed that one!
    From Ronda Reynolds to “I, I, I, I, I, I, I,”.

How many more times do we have to live this case. It has been decided and I am glad. I am tired of hearing about this almost every other month. Give it a rest, that lady is no more important then the next woman. People are killed every day in this county, state. Let the woman rest in peace cause no one around here is ever going to find out the truth cause no one here have the brains to find it out, you cant be bias on stuff, you cant fill out false police report and get the truth. Maybe when all cops in Lewis County becomes real cops (which some are and they know who the are) then maybe things will change. Give this case a rest and quit trying to nail someone that maybe innocent of a charge and trying to convict them (I know what it like to be innocent). I am glad it was not in Centralia where it happened. Cause everyone here would have had to do a lie detector test. GO DIRTY COP ENFORCER

  8. Why should I be the one having a field day with corruption. All I can do is plant the seed of Knowledge, everyone knows the truth about the corruption issue but no one stands up to fight against it. I see American Flags hung all over the Centralia area, but deep down I know people hang those flags like cowards. I’m sure I’ll take some flack from Veterans on this comment, but lets not forget that 84,000 prisinors are being held by the United States Government and not one of these people have been given a Trial. You want to call that freedom? Our Government now has to the power to hold Americans without going to Trial forever. The law is called the NDAA act. The Ronda Reynolds case is just another prime example of the Local Government’s epic failure to serve justiice. Lewis County is the first county to be recognized in Washington State, so they have had a long time to perfect their corrupt good ole boy ways. So when I see American Flags I think of the Agent Orange the US Government Dumped on Vietnam Veterans. I think of the Government lying to the familys of the exposed veterans and the ones that have died for another false flag attack that occured in the Gulf of Tonkin. People Ronda Reynolds was a freedom fighter that knew to much and had to be shut up.
