Sharyn’s Sirens: Daily police and fire roundup

SHERIFF: HOMELESS MAN PUSHES WAY INTO CHEHALIS-AREA HOME

• Deputies were called to a home south of Chehalis yesterday evening after a resident answered a knock on his door and was confronted by a man who asked to use the phone and then came inside, shoving the resident. The 27-year-old resident was able to push the man back outside and call 911, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. It happened about 5:20 p.m. on the 100 block of Vermillion Road near Spiffy’s restaurant, Cmdr. Steve Aust said. Deputies located 40-year-old David S. Ball in the area and a search of his backpack turned up suspected methamphetamine, according to Aust. Two vehicles in the area had been prowled so Ball – a transient – was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for multiple offenses, including misdemeanor assault, according to Aust. Aust said the suspect said he needed to use the phone because of a medical issue, but deputies aren’t sure if that was just a ruse to get inside.

The tussle at Harrison Avenue near Belmont ended with two of them arrested, according to police. Joshua R. Roberts, 33, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for unlawful display of a weapon and fighting in public, according to Sgt. Brian Warren. Justin B. Bedortha, 23, was cited for fighting and then released, according to police.

God must have stepped in to have a knife stabbed at you and be unhurt. how can a knife fail? “blade somehow bent”. i hope the young man knows how blessed he was.

Panhandling because Lewis county has no work out there! I too have spent the last year looking for work, I am EDUCATED DRUG FREE AND NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND. You don’t find that around here but I still cannot find a decent job! I commuted for years out of this county in order to make a decent living but without transportation I can’t do that! Some days I think about joining these people on the off ramps or by the local intersections, I’m sure I could make living doing that but my pride is to high!

Go back to your own website with your ramblings Dave. Its seriously getting old.

  5. I’m looking for a Job? Put me to work, I’m highly skilled and have a drivers License and Insurance. Please direct me to these jobs Name (Required) I call Labor Ready @360-807-8922 each day at 6 in the morning and I am never called back to work. I’m almost to the point of Pan Handleing myself. I could offer Carpet Restreching or carpet and Vinyal Instalations ,but I’m sure Labor and Industries would fine me for working as a Contractor with no bond and License if I was hired by a person seeking to employ me. Oh that’s right I’m Black Balled from riding public Transporation in Centralia for helping a lost blind man back to the Twin Transt Bus Station. Only in Centralia Those Police incident Report #’s are 11A5440 and 11A5487 check it out I’m banned from riding the bus for helping the blind. No wonder I had a Gun Pointed at me for picking up trash in Centralia, the police hate people that make a difference.

  6. Name (required) says:

I see that there are at least two guys that are waaaay too young to be panhandling. At 23 and 33, you’d better have a really good reason to not be able to work. And don’t tell me that they tried – if someone offer them a job would they take it? Not likely.

  7. J.Z. says:

@CWHC…He’s charged for the moment with unlawful display of a weapon and fighting in public. It’s possible that they’ll up the charges as the case is further investigated.

  8. KNIFE FAILS DURING PANHANDLER TIFF Now that I see that you can attempt to stab someone and when the attempt fails you won’t be charged. This is like saying I tried to shoot the guy, but the bullet proof vest and his cell phone blocked the bullet. So I take it the county is not going to charge this guy with attempted homicide.
Reading this article tells me I have the green light to panhandle for money to support my Civil Case against a certain corrupt police force in the Centralia area. I need about 1500 bucks so I can get the civil case going against this police criminal here.
