SHORT-LIVED IMPERSONATION LEADS TO JAIL
• A 30-year-old man walking on North Fork Road outside Chehalis and contacted by a deputy about 10 o’clock yesterday morning was arrested for identity theft after he provided a fake name. Brian M. Hull was booked into the Lewis County Jail also for two warrants, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
RANDOM CHECKING LEADS TO STOLEN CAR
• A Chehalis police officer conducting random checks discovered a stolen, unoccupied vehicle parked at Southwest 16th Avenue and Thomsen Avenue about 10:30 p.m. yesterday. A wallet and credit cards found inside the 2009 Ford Focus, apparently missing from Thurston County, belonged to someone other than the registered owner, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
FRAUD COMPLAINT WAS JUST BANK MISTAKE
• Centralia police reported they were called by a bank near Floral Street yesterday morning to investigate fraud by an older subject who allegedly cashed a check he had already deposited into his a account. After further investigation, it was sorted out and found to be an error on the bank’s part, according to the Centralia Police Department.
THEFT
• Chehalis police were called yesterday morning regarding an attempted burglary to a business on the 1500 block of Northwest State Avenue during the night. Further details were not readily available, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
SMALL GRAFFITI
• Police were called at about 9:20 a.m. yesterday about graffiti on a fence on the 1200 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia. It was a “couple of letters” not suspected to be gang-related, according to the Centralia Police Department.

If marijuana wasn’t still federally mislabeled as a schedule 1 narcotic and put under prohibition, maybe “potheads” wouldn’t be scrutinized by their employers about THEIR own business.
Maybe you and Ronald Regan and George Bush should look at the drugs that are harming this country and the citizens in it (like meth, heroin, crack, and most of the PRESCRIPTION drugs on the LEGAL market ) and focus on them instead of pushing the blame on weed.
Did you know hemp is the worlds most useful resource and still federally illegal? Its stronger than any wood or cotton out there and has more uses than every crop we grow here combined and we dont/cant grow it…Now that’s just stupid. Even you must agree there…and you know stupid.

It’s the same as it’s always been. The only difference is this format reports on crimes in the area and various other anti social activity.
If you depend on the local radio station that bills itself as the ” news leader ” of southwest Washington. All you’ll get is some body going to the press release section of web sites for the Wa. state D.O.T, Wa. State Patrol, Veterans Mueseum, Providence Hospital and local Chamber of Commerces’ etc. and writing up the press release info as news storys.
What ever social maladjustments that are present in this area, as in others is likely generational in nature. It didn’t just begin due to the influx of ” outsiders. ”
I know of people that were on the needle as far back as the mid ’70s, people who were abusing kids as well and various other aberrations. Only back then it was, out of sight out of mind.

Cause the ones I see have no coping skills, don’t deal well with anger, have not learned to “wait” (as in delayed gratification) and are really no different in many ways from other addicts in those regards.
And while pot protects against some forms of lung cancer, it actually causes or is a major factor in some pretty nasty cancers of the fatty organs. Fatty organs include the brain, the testicles and other reproductive organs. Testicular cancer is at least four times higher in pot smoking men than in sober men. Our darling George Harrison died from agonizing brain cancer, and he was almost an icon of the pot smoking world … back in the day.
For those with addiction, the disease is progressive… so those smoking a bowl or two now often jump up to smoking all day long. They can’t pass urine tests, so they don’t work well… unless they work for themselves… when they get around to it. The lack of ambition you see in many (not all) pot smokers even has a medical name – Amotivational (or demotivational) Syndrome – look it up, it is real.
But go ahead – toke away dude… you may die poor, dirty and pissed off, but hey – everybody dies sometime.

OMG really…doesn’t sound like you know much about pot heads or about this town. Pot heads are pacifists…weed tends to bring out the calm happy person in everyone. Not one person in this world has ever gotten good and stoned then ran out the the house to vandalize the town. Doesn’t happen. Also weed is still illegal in Cali…just here and Colorado. Do some research before you open your mouth. I would ask if you grew up during the Regan administration but if that were the case, you would know a little history on this town and when and why it went to shit. My guess is you’re either fresh out of highschool or Sophmore Socialology at Centralia college has shown us how bad the education is around here. This town has been like this for a long time.
