This property belongs to Vic and nobody else. Sure, it’s an eyesore, but it is his life, it is what he does. He was the first one to partake in recycling and clean up, until Lemay came into the picture and stole his idea. My opinion may be a little biased, but I think it’s time for the city to take their opinions and shove it. Leave Vic be.

  2. Monkey's Uncle says:

He seems to be adept at accumulation. I don’t see where the recycling part comes in though. I understand the Bonagofski family to be one of the old monied families in the twin cities. I understand they have some lucritive property holdings. So with that in mind, how is it the local taxpayers are on the hook to subsidize the clean up of one of their clans property?

This is a classic case of Government theft of private property! It disgusts me the level of morality this county will stoop to, in robbing this man of his property. The county has been harassing this man for over twenty years or more! A man who has never bothered anyone. People are so vain, this property isn’t hurting anyone, they just want to complain, and in the meantime a man will lose his livelihood. There’s also the exaggerated cost the county says it will cost to clean the property up, who do they think their trying to fool? Well I’d say the public, that’s who their trying to fool, by justifying their dishonest and immoral actions they are imposing on Mr. Bonagofski. Lewis County officials:STOP HARASSING THIS MAN!!

WOW, how would you like to live next to this guy??? NASTYYY

Go on a tour of Lewis County. There are plenty of sites with various piles what may be garbage to most of us. Rats and mice also like barns full of hay.

Why pick on Vic? For the very simple reason that he has a very valuable piece of industrial property that others don’t think he should be allowed to own. This happens every so often is Lewis County.

Vic is also a handy target because he is such a mild man they know he will not fight back. Vic also offended the authorities long ago when he tried to get into the cardboard recycling business. Does anyone remember when a thug named Dale Pace was turned loose on Vic, putting him in Harborview, just because Vic was collecting cardboard at the outlets. Pace got a slap on the wrist. Remember that?

They don’t live in my house. Thus, rats do NOT live “everywhere”.

Rats, like people are not hard to control. Remove the food and shelter incentive and they will go elsewhere.

  7. GuiltyBystander says:

This is nothing new. Vic Bonagofski has had issues with the government for years over his “recycling business” because he lets all kinds of rubbish pile up on his property, then makes sure the taxpayers have to foot the cleanup bill because he won’t pay it. All in all, a great neighbor.

And rats MAY live everywhere, Dalton, but it’s something else when you create conditions allowing them to thrive. Rats also have this pesky habit of not staying on their property like they’re supposed to.
