KOMOnews.com reports the Winlock native killed in Afghanistan last week will be laid to rest today, following a candlelight vigil last night in Steilacoom.
Mike Hughes, 38, a former corrections officer at McNeil Island who was working as a civilian contractor training Afghans to run their prisons was due home to marry his fiance on Valentines weekend wedding, according to KOMO.
