U.S. Marshals went looking for him in Vancouver and then Ridgefield on Friday, calling in the the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and a SWAT team, according to KATU writer Hillary Lake.

Lake writes at one point police saw a bloody arm throw a paper airplane out a window and then later Mosby came out of the house with a gun, threatened police and was shot.

Mosby was known to frequent the Centralia area but had ties from Rochester to Ridgefield, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Friends say he was from Rochester.

Last week, a freeway rest area near Ridgefield was shut down while law enforcement searched the area, after getting information Mosby was there but they found only a car they believed he had been using.

On Tuesday, he was believed to be in the Albany area, and called relatives asking for help, according to The Oregonian.

No one will ever know the WHOLE story, because there is only one side left to tell. The problem that I have with all this is that if these officers are so highly trained, then why are the shooting to kill??! Shouldn’t they be shooting to disarm? Aren’t we all innocent until proven guilty by a court of law?? There is no doubt in my mind that this person was probably committing or attempting to commit a crime, but that is not a reason for a shoot to kill defense. I didn’t think that was the officers job. It makes me a little more nervous now.
So if I get pulled over and just slip my license, insurance, and registration thru my barely open window, and not say anything to the officer, for fear that he might feel threatened, will the officer then feel threatened and shoot me in the face and chest?????

    “…He emptied a full clip…”

I just love it when a keyboard “weapons/police expert” does not know the difference between a clip and a magazine.

So much for having any credibility on firearms and or firearms training.

A combat tour in Iraq makes you more likely to develop Post Tramatic Stress Disorder and seals the deal on shoot first ask questions later mentality. He emptied a full clip with more than enough stopping power to stop a potential advance. He was trying to take a life. What the HELL are they teaching at that cop school?? An academy doesnt replace real world experience or make one sane especially if they havent been raised around guns. They power trip. Give them a little authority and an idiot a pistol and this is what happens. If you are having a bad week and u need a paid vacation, just shoot someone. Im sure youll find someone who will resist to your unreasonable demands. What ever happened to innocent till provent guilty? Stop the mobile death squads already. Even Hitler had enough decency to send them to a concentration camp. He was smart he did his dirty work in secret much like obama care teen abortion clinics. The oppressors today are much more arrogant and up front about it. They use media to spread their fables of self righteous presevation. If your that concerned about coming home to your family dont be cop or join the military. We dont need people dead because your scared your job might have some risks. Id like to hear a story about a cop getting killed because he used a taser and it didnt work. Do a google search you will find people are getting killed by tasers and even more citizens getting killed because cops didnt use one. In the vast majority of cases tasers DO WORK. Police dieing in instances where tasers dont work are rare. Call for back UP?? ‘Oh no time we will loose the perp. He threatened my badge he needs to die now.’ NO. They dont. Police need to held accountable. Dont buy into those self defense lies. Cant stand the heat dont stand so close to the flame. Have a concealed weapons permit. Carry a gun to defend your self. Not against thugs but against these mobile judges and death squads. It would have given these men atleast an even platform for survival. Not only that but guns are the first line of homeland defense against ‘Spree Shooters’ and terrorists.

    dontmatter=dont have brain

McKnight attended a 720 hr academy with almost 100 of that being firearms training. The Centralia officer who was recently involved in a shooting also had the same academy as well as combat tours in Iraq. Id have to say both are well trained and qualified to carry a duty weapon. What the criminals are lacking is common sense. Im guessing that is tossed out the window along with their meth pipe when bringing a knife, or saying they have one when a gun is being pointed at them.

  5. dontmatter says:

Yes the question was “are these cops that shot someone in their right mind?” Have they had psyciatric problems sorted out, medications? Are they even qualified to carry a gun in the first place. Many people who do suffer from these problems will lie because they need the job. The demand for law enforcement is so high (to control the people) that it looks like they are just hiring anyone. Are the standards high enough?? Mcknight had no experience before the sherriffs office and the other officer had been with centralia for less than 5 years. Stick that in your sheep horn pipe and smoke it.

“…imaginary ‘nerf throwing knives’ in mcknights case. Has any of these cops passed a mental eval?”

What possible twisted satisfaction can you derive from pulling such phrases out of who knows where, and then post them as fact. It was no nerf throwing knife that punched slots through the top of a car’s engine hood, or punched holes in the door to a house. That he tossed the steel bladed knife before doing a suicide by cop does not change the FACT that he had used a knife to COMMIT A CRIME before charging a cop.

Your attempt at trying to cheapen the service of those who took the oath to be a police officer, deputy, trooper, etc. is sickening

  9. dontmatter says:

well atleast he had a weapon. not a dinky pocket knife in the most recent or imaginary ‘nerf throwing knives’ in mcknights case. Has any of these cops passed a mental eval? Reasonably scared for their safety? Maybe they are schizo. Keep reaching for the springfield instead of the tazer. Idiots. The internal review board supporting every shot they make. Why even have a internal review. Its fake and corrupt.

  10. I left says:

i see the Lewis County sheriff and Centralia PD struck again. Come on, where are all of you on how innocent the guy was and the cops just gunned him down. It’s all Steve Mansfield’s fault, right?
