The Olympian reports 42-year-old Randall D. Mauel was ordered held yesterday on $50,000 bail following his arrest in Tenino the day before when drug detectives found nearly $10,000 cash in his wallet, and in a residence, several more hundred dollars along with a little more than an ounce of methamphetamine and a small amount of heroin.

Mauel was out on bail following a December drug dealing charge in Lewis County Superior Court after detectives seized pounds of drugs at the 2500 block of Jackson Highway south of Chehalis, arresting he and his younger brother 37-year-old Ryan G. Mauel.

News reporter Jeremy Pawloski writes Mauel went before a judge in Thurston County Superior Court yesterday – along with co-arrestee Jeremy Erwin, 39 – and remains held on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and heroin with intent to deliver.

I believe there are two sides to every story, things aren’t always what they seem. Everyone and i mean EVERYONE is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty… Timing is everything. Has anyone thought of the fact that this gentleman was at the wrong place at the exact wrong time? Things aren’t always what they seem, and unfortunate as it is, informants in Lewis county especially always turn out to be your closest friends and peers. One way or another the truth will surface on this case, and hopefully the law enforcement in this town will stick to there crieo about honesty, and true statements of facts, because what i personally have read in the papers about this case, hasnt been complete honesty on their part. We are supposed to look to these figures for protection and safty. How can that be when they cant even regard an simple honest statement? REMEMBER…there are two sides to every story, who are we to pass judgement? if so we should have all the facts.

it sounds like the lewis county case was seriously flawed there were problems with the informant of some kind. the thurston county case was actually a raid on erwin and this mauel was just one of five or six there. we will see. these informants are usually liars and they manipulate amateurish cops

Randy Mauel has already been in prison. Numerous times, actually. It’s fairly apparent that he has no desire to stop dealing or using drug.

As far as who is posting bail, the Task Force should look into this very closely. Anyone who can obtain ‘pounds of drugs’ is well connected. Could it be that an associate within this drug dealing ring posted the cash bond that was paid for the December arrest? If not from drug deals, where else would someone obtain that kind of cash to bail someone out? These are all questions I would hope that the authorities are investigating.

Time to go back to Mexico or an extended stay in prison. Keep these dirtbags out of our community.

Well…… Dig deeper and you will see he was arrested in Oregon recently too with a few more pounds of drugs. The real question is….. Who keeps posting his bail?

Okay two arrests within 4 months of each other with large amounts of drugs? Obviously the first arrest did not serve as a deterrent. Maybe time in prison will suffice.
