CHEHALIS – The Napavine woman accused of being now-convicted drug dealer Forrest Amos’s “right hand woman” has settled her case with prosecutors and been ordered to get an evaluation and treatment for substance abuse.

Jennifer Lantau, now, 30, was charged in May of last year with dealing in Oxycodone, and became an informant for police, according to court documents. She’s the individual prosecutors contended assisted Amos to continue his drug trafficking while he was behind bars.

“She was, at his request and on her own behalf to fund her prescription pill addiction,” Lewis County prosecutors wrote in charging documents.

Lantau was charged with three counts of delivery of Oxycodone occurring in the spring of 2013, one count of attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, as well as possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and straight possession of marijuana and originally held on $100,000 bail.

However, by last October, Lantau agreed to become a “cooperating witness” against her boyfriend.

Amos was sentenced last month to 12 years behind bars for a multitude of offenses based on a lengthy investigation by Centralia police. Law enforcement estimated that in 2011 when he was aggressively dealing Oxycodone, that he was the main supplier of the synthetic opiate within Lewis County, possessing and dealing thousands of pills a month.

Lantau didn’t have to testify against Amos, as instead of a trial, he entered into a plea agreement. He was sentenced on Aug. 20.

Lantau appeared in Lewis County Superior Court last week to be sentenced for for lesser charges, just two counts of possession of Oxycodone, and one count of felony possession of marijuana. She was given 36 days in jail for each and given credit for the time already served, according to court documents.

She was free to leave after Wednesday’s hearing, but will remain under the supervision of the state Department of Corrections for 12 months, according to Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer.

“The fact that we had her as a cooperating witness is part of what helped us settle with Forrest Amos,” Meyer said.

BAHLSDEEP: Get a grip looney tune! Anybody can look up anybody these days……………you are obviously not too bright considering your BIG BALLS. These druggies know everyone involved in most transactions. You silly little fool. They gonna wait for Miss Lantau either way. Doen’t mean you gonna get BEAT UP everytime you walk out the door. Get real.

Sounds like her parents trained her up to become stable at age 30+? Good job.

  3. Luckywonder13 says:

Hey Truth: She got caught up in nothing more than JENNIFER! Spoiled brat from a SCREW YOU FAMILY that has multiple disfunctions, DUI’S, gold digging and the like. She believes herself to be big JENNIFER LANTAU!! I deserve it all! Well, she still hasn’t gotten what she really deserves!

  4. Luckywonder13 says:

Sad too…………..Jennifer Lantau has very spoiled children as well. The lives of the privileged. How did all your name brand clothes serve you in the pokie Jennifer? Time to get a heart hunny. You are getting old news!

  5. Just some truth says:

This is so stupid and No body knows for sure what happened unless your Lantau or Amos. In Lantaus position ” a right hand” woman for Amos, her boyfriend at the time I believe she wanted to do anything she could to make his time easier and him being controlling and a manipulator made it very difficult for Lantau. She wanted to make her boyfriend happy by doing exactly what he wanted. She was using Oxy and was a middle man for other big time buyers that Amos worked with. When CPD has every single recording from the prison phone makes it very difficult to fight the fact that Amos would set up times and meeting places for Lantau to go to. She didn’t have a fight. When Amos was having her drop tobacco off at the prison for her because the drug deal money was enough for his needs while being in prison he wanted more. She got caught up and was asked to tell the truth or she would go to prison for 7 years. When she told Amos before she went to jail what they offered her and the recordings the cops played for her, they had blocked her number from him being able to call, When she sent him a letter telling him what they wanted her to do they arrested her and threatened her and pressured her and told her things that Amos was doing to her. She couldn’t talk to him for 7 months. But if Amos truly cared about Lantau he never would of put her in that position. So for Lantau to be facing 7 years for being a middle man for big time buyers that Amos Set Up and was controlling behind bars is not fair to Lantau. You can say she is an informant but in actuality she was in jail when she finally took the deal because there was no other offer on the table. Amos was already looking at a 3rd strike. He was already going to do some time so in Lantaus position I believe she did the right thing. The man she loves and would do anything for obviously (running his drug operation) was put in a tough position. She was in jail couldn’t talk to him was pressured to testify or go to prison for 7 years. She has a daughter and Forrest told her to do it. This whole situation is Shitty for both of them. It just shows what drugs can do to people. I hope Lantau can stay clean and learn from this experience and the same with Mr. Amos. Unfortunately he has to learn from his mistakes while being locked up for 12 years. But hey he got married right? LOL What a guy

I salute sirens for putting the informants name out there. So should everybody since apparently getting the “truth” out there is so important in these cases that the informant is essentially absolved of any wrongdoing then it is certainly important enough for the public to made aware of exactly what went on, how the case was handled, and most importantly who was involved and what roles did they play.

When one becomes an informant what they are doing is so foul that they should accept a bit of risk comes along with it. It doesn’t matter if it gets printed like this anyways. The only people who care enough about these cases that they would actually do something to a snitch already knew who the snitch was when the case is in its infancy.

  7. bahlsdeep says:

This is not an authority or police issue. This is using the freedom of speech right and disregarding someone’s life and over all safety. Of course everyone has a right to attend our court rooms but the case here is printing about it on a website anyone in the world can look at. A bit more than a local rumor I’d say.

  8. Anti Amos says:

This story is insinuating that Lantau was an informant. Those are not the facts one would find if they read the actual discovery. The reports would show that Lantau got caught up in some Amos b.s. and was asked to be truthful in court in exchange for consideration of lesser charges. No snitch tag is applicable here. Its actually not fair to her. Get facts before assuming.

  9. Questioning authority says:

Ok? So if she was a police witness why is her name being released? This must be the authorities way of weeding out the druggies! Now if something happens to her they should be 100% responsible! It doesn’t seem right she was blasted like this! I’m not sticking up for her by any means it just doesn’t seem right

  10. Republican Logger says:

Looks like Suzy Snitch will end up in a ditch.

  11. Wobbley Ladder says:

Maybe now Miss Lantau will finally get the message it’s time to “clean up” her act. Felony drug offenses and multiple DUI’s is NO LAUGHING MATTER! Check out her criminal record.

  12. Bubba Gump says:

News reporters can print facts from court by their right but in these occasions shouldn’t.

  13. Dominoe says:

This is hilarious…I love that the sirens is officially blasting snitches. Lmfao. Silly little informants. You have now been “informed” that once the trial is over you’re no longer valuable…keep that in mind.

  14. mommydoll says:

Omg goodgrief! I couldn’t have said it better myself! I guess its not like in the movies… if you help the police, your reward is to be put out to the dogs that you were trying to help the cops catch in the first place!

  15. GoodGrief says:

Last guy who was named as a confidential informant ended up getting beat nearly to death in the parking lot of the Peppertree motel a year or so ago. So a drug addict gets busted on a charge, is offered a deal for becoming a confidential informant, then gets put on blast after the deal is done? Most of us realize that using a drug addict’s addiction to get a bad guy is considered “ok”. Wonder if most folks realize what the REAL price is for the addict/informant?
