Sharyn’s Sirens: Daily police and fire roundup

ANONYMOUS DELIVERY

• Usually it’s a police officer that leaves something tucked under your car’s windshield wiper, like a ticket. But yesterday afternoon, Chehalis Police Department Officer Warren Ayers found a small surprise on his patrol car parked outside the department on North Market Boulevard. On the wiper was a small baggie containing a white crystal substance, according to department spokesperson Linda Bailey. Was it meth? Maybe, Bailey said. The item was taken into evidence and slated for destruction, according to Bailey.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police took a report yesterday afternoon of a maroon 1996 Dodge Caravan stolen from the 1400 block of Oxford Avenue.

ARRESTS FOR BURGLARY

• Chehalis police arrested two individuals yesterday in Rochester in connection with an interrupted burglary last month on the 1400 block of Southwest Kelly Avenue. Booked into the Lewis County Jail were Sarah J. Taylor, 33, and Victor L. Hicke, 25, both from Centralia, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

AND MORE

• And as usual, other incidents such as arrests for warrants, shoplifting, driving under the influence; responses for alarm, suspected fraud, trespassing, misdemeanor theft, suspicious circumstances, collision on city street, noisy neighbor party … and more.

Why arrest the person who put it on the windshield? Maybe they found it and didn’t know what to do with it. I know if I found something like that and I didn’t want it to fall l into the wrong hands like kids out who ever, I sure wouldn’t walk up to the cops and say, “hey dude, I found this!” and turn it over to them. Sure as a bear craps in the woods they’d try to hit me with a possession charge our something equally as retarded. The windshield just may have been an option for disposal. And, they are pursuing charges possibly? See! You are screwed no matter what you do.

Congratulations, again, to Riverside Fire on the passing of the levy!
I’m glad to see the majority of us citizens realize the importance of the services they provide.

Like most of you, I’m sick and tired of the cost increases in everything from groceries, gas (until very recently), utilities and both my home and auto insurances. However, when it comes to the services provided by the RFA, it only takes them coming to my rescue one time for it to pay for itself. This last levy was an increase I gladly voted for, knowing that I can count on them when I need to.

While I did not attend the breakfast, it was nice of the union and RFA employees to thank the voters in this fashion.

News flash. Chehalis PD has information on who placed the bag on the Officers vehicle. They are in the process of having the Prosecutors Office take a warrant to a Superior Court to to get signed. Someone is about to have a bad weekend…..LOL Dumbasses.
