  1. FirearmAnswer says:

RCW 77.15.460 says that a person shall be guilty of unlawful possession of a loaded firearm if
    (a) The person carries, transports, conveys, possesses, or controls a rifle or shotgun in a motor vehicle, or upon an off-road vehicle, except as allowed by department rule; and

    (b) The rifle or shotgun contains shells or cartridges in the magazine or chamber, or is a muzzle-loading firearm that is loaded and capped or primed.

I notice it does not restrict pistols.

It’s probably to prevent hunting/poaching from the road, and discharge on a road in a collision.

  2. FirearmQuestion says:

“…One of six firearms located in his vehicle was loaded, so Middleton was arrested for having a loaded firearm in a vehicle…”

-So would a concealed weapons permit holder be cited for having a loaded firearm in his vehicle?
