A brief summary from Sgt. Jim Shannon indicates the arrest was associated with the 1500 block of South Gold Street in Centralia, and followed a multi-agency investigation.

Pinotti yesterday saw his felony assault charge dropped by prosecutors following the investigation into the events of last month when was fired upon as he tried to escape arrest on a misdemeanor warrant. Pinotti was initially charged with first-degree assault after Centralia Municipal Court Security Officer Steve Howard said he fired one shot because Pinotti tried to hit him with his car.

The bullet missed the 22-year-old Adna resident, but shattered the driver’s side window and was found on the passenger seat of his Subaru.

Yesterday, the Lewis County prosecutor said  Pinotti wasn’t trying run down Howard; but also cleared Howard of wrongdoing in the shooting.

Pinotti is tentatively scheduled to go before a Lewis County Superior Court judge at 4 p.m. today.

What is killing me about this is the comments on FB page about this. When certain people claim they’re clean and aren’t. I really really dislike that crap. Especially since I’ve seen the said party use. So full of it. And this Phil guy is an obvious addict who has made some seriously poor choices. Hopefully he can turn his life around.

Of course the idiot fled the court room. I’m sure that either in his car or his pocket there was enough dope to put him away. He chose what he thought was the less of two evils…running. He probably went straight to those who helped him to get his dope back. Now those dummies are probably under investigation.

  3. cooter says:

The reason he fled in the first place cuz he had drugs on him. They let him go fully knowing they were gonna set him up. Probably one of his ex co-defendants. Rolled like a ball.

I have toured the local jail and had no desire to stay and “hang out”. Wow. Jon Meyer has to be shaking his head. He dropped the felony charges because of a lack of a definitive show of intent to run the officer down. Within two days the guy is back asking “is this enough intent to have you charge me with a felony please” ha ha

It is a good thing that stupid is not against the law in and of itself ha ha.

So is it the delicious food or the comforting group showers that makes this guy magnetized to the local pokey?

  7. Beenthere says:

I agree with both the question and statement posted.

  8. BobbyinLC says:

Okay so the felony charges are dropped against him and he goes out and is dealing heroin…….I agree the security officer firing at him was way overboard and should result in some type of charges as well but this guy is clearly showing his keen interest in going to prison.

  9. T Orr says:

I agree. Anybody who irresponsibly discharges a firearm at a fleeing human being in public should be in prison.

Can a man ask any more clearly to be incarcerated?
