CHEHALIS – A fire engine from Lewis County Fire District 6 sustained a considerable amount of damage while assisting another fire department on Sunday and its driver suffered what was described as a minor injury.

District 6 issued a news release yesterday about the incident, offering almost no details. Fire Chief Tim Kinder indicated he wouldn’t say more about it until after the information is compiled for the insurance company.

Crews were trying to locate a reported grass fire that bordered the TransAlta mine, according to Kinder.

The driver was checked out at the hospital and then subsequently released, according to the news release. The incident remains under investigation.

District 6 protects rural areas surrounding Chehalis.

Multiple agencies responded Sunday afternoon to a fire involving grass, brush and an exposed coal seam on property at TransAlta Mine’s South Field.

Retired is gone GB. This happens all the time. He is the true meaning of Internet Troll, they take a sucker punch and never comment again. By the way the city manager advises the general public to drink at least 3 glasses of Fluoridated water a day. Artery Disease is Trendy..

My property tax would indicate that I’m far from “worthless,” retired. Tell you what: When you offer to pay that bill for me, I’ll take you seriously. Until then, I’ll continue to prefer getting value for what I’m mandated to pay (including your pension, no doubt).

My favorite scene is watching the ambulance drivers over at Starbucks getting their coffees. They use our tax dollars to get there. The gas is paid for by tax payers. If you want coffee get a coffee pot at your place of business. Im so sick of having our tax dollars raised by these Tax Feeders who abuse their power in the name of the greater good. Harvard study proves the Fluoride really does lower IQ. No wonder there getting over on us, They keep the population dumbed down and they claim they care about the children while they dump poison in the publics water supply. Bone Cancer is Trendy..

Surely they will have another bond election so we can raise our property taxes again to buy them some more toys, right? Every time they have an election they scare the unaware into believing the sky is falling, then it doesn’t fall and they go out and blow money on crap they could do without. Don’t even get me started on education money!

I know a friend that has a good used fire truck for sale. I think its under ten thousand. And for ‘RETIRED’ the Centralia police dont like people who help the community. I picked up all the trash and stuff along tower avenue for a period of about ten days and ended up having a gun pointed at me for all my good deeds. So Retired i would never do anything for this community again until the non dash camera, non body camera police department uses the drug money they confiscate to outfit themselves with the proper equipment so we can see what really goes on with them. Yeah im more than an internet warrior i have tried to make a difference but the police play a dirty game and i have lots of videos from the community to back me up on this. I even have the incident recorded of the gun being pointed at me for picking up garbage. Until the police wear body cameras here i wouldnt do shit for this community. I even have video from the police saying there video equipment in the police station was broken during my interrogation. The whole community knows the clowns that work for this city are a joke. Enjoy the Fluoride Centralia. Thyroid disease is Trendy.

Lewis County District 6, like all fire districts in Lewis county have a mutual aid agreement with the DNR. Under the Wildland Fire Interface the districts become the first reponders to most brush fires. The DNR has very few actual fire crews avalable during fire season. Most of their firefighters usually tied up on other fires and it takes them a while to get there. DNR will actually contract with districts when the DNR does not have the resources available to handle the fire. The alternative would be for the district to stay home and we could all just wait until the DNR arrived on scene. Sometimes this is hours later depending on where they are and what they are doing. This years state budget doesn’t have enough money to hire more DNR personel. My suggestion is for you worthless internet warriors to go volunteer your expert services to fix this problem.

Fire district 6 takes over 1.5 million dollars a year of tax money. we give them a EMS levy but they refuse to transport us when we need them. We have no choice but to go with AMR and pay them. Dist. 6 says they need the EMS levy to keep paramedics on duty. What do they need paramedics for? They don’t transport.
Dist. 6 has been on a spending spree that is out of control. In the last 2 years alone they bought 2 brand new- all the bells and whistles -suburbans one of them for their over $100,000 per year chief and one just to have to run around. They bought a brand new ambulance that is a waste of money, its only used if all the AMR ambulances and Centralia ambulances are busy.
Now Dist. 6 destroys the fire truck for a fire that was not even in their area and we get no answers.
Our fire dist. has the most expensive fire station in the county and just finished building the second most expensive fire station in Adna. What do they need these fancy stations for? fire dist 6 is taxed with answering the LEAST amount of calls of all the career fire stations in the county . I am tired of the lies that come out of this Department.
    Great work fire dist 6,.

Im so sick of these tax feeders not working for the community and hiding the facts from us. Answers should be given upon request. I damm well know they have talked to the city attorney so they can make up a story. And further more why did the community pool ever close. Maybe we can just end the Fluoride program and use that money instead on our pool. After all every year i see the fire department breaking the law with the fill the boot program. Lets fill the boot open the pool and quit force medicating the city with poison in our drinking cooking and bathing water. The community is sick of the good ole boy club. Your lies will be exposed in the end.

Good questions, John. I’m willing to believe District 6 had an arrangement with DNR to cover local fires like these in exchange for state money to make it worth District’s 6’s while, sort of like the inmate housing deals some municipalities and counties have with each other.

Your first question is the one that’s put District 6 in CYA mode with their insurance company. Imagine being a fly on the wall when this question is posed: “Did you SERIOUSLY think a fire engine designed specifically for urban use could navigate an unpaved service road in forest land?” They’ll be inquiring about those brakes, too.

Our tax dollars at work, folks…we pay for all of this.

  10. John says:

    Lots of questions?

    1. Why would one of the tax paid for fire trucks be up on logging roads looking for a fire? These trucks are built to be on pavement responding to house fires. Looking for fires in the woods that are not even close to any homes is the responsibility of the DNR.

    2. Dist. 6 recently purchased 2 very nice SUVs at over $100,000 for both of them. Why where these not used to find the fire and then tell the appropriate fire trucks where to respond?

    3. On the scanner the driver of the vehicle said that he had crashed and it was because he lost the breaks. If this is indeed the case this brings up even more questions.
    1. does our fire department not keep the fire trucks in perfect mechanical shape to avoid accidents like this?
2 Did the driver not no how to drive a large truck on gravel?

The citizens of fire district 6 have lost one of our fire trucks that we paid for with our taxes and we deserve to know why our $300,000 fire truck is now not able to help the community like it was bought for.

Yes Tim make sure you get all your lies in order for the Insurance company. Its getting old that the truth is bottled up and then comes out weeks later. Next time some one is arrested tell the cops that its going to take several days before they make a statement. This happened in the recent Olympia shooting. The police said officers remember better after they have a few days. Im sure the fire department will talk to the citys attorney before they puke out their story. Remember the days when you could trust a public official. Well those days are gone

  12. The Sleeping Giant says:

Just like the cops now the fire department is covering things up. Some where along the line they forgot they are public servants. The police and fire departments work for us. So what happened. Lets stop paying taxes until the truth comes out. God the corruption is everywhere..
