BREAK-IN CENTRALIA

• An officer was called to the 1400 block of Oxford Avenue in Centralia at 11 a.m. yesterday for a burglary to a shed. Tools were missing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Centralia police were called around 2 p.m. yesterday about tires slashed overnight on a vehicle at the 700 block of Centralia College Boulevard.

ON THE ROAD

• The occupant of a passenger car that sustained significant rear end damage in an overnight collision with a semi truck on Interstate 5 in Centralia was hospitalized for minor injuries, according to Riverside Fire Authority. The big rig, which was hauling food products, had front end damage but its driver was unhurt, according to the fire department. The cause of the approximately 2:10 a.m. wreck in the southbound lanes is under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
