DOGNAPPING

• A black and white border collie was reported stolen from its backyard on the 800 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia at about 11 a.m. yesterday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• An individual went to the Chehalis Police Department yesterday afternoon to report that when he woke up, a car that he had rented was missing. He said he believed it may have been taken by a person who was at his home on Northwest Quincy Place, because the car, the keys and the person were all gone, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The stolen vehicle is described by police as a gray 2015 Buick Encore.

PARCEL THEFT

• Centralia police were called about 4:20 p.m. yesterday regarding the theft of a package that had been left by the front door at the 500 block of South Washington Avenue.

ON THE ROAD

• A 50-year-old Toledo woman with a child passenger was arrested for driving under the influence after another motorist reported the vehicle going all over the roadway and into oncoming traffic yesterday evening on the 100 block of West Side Highway near Vader. A deputy responding about 5:15 p.m. got a search warrant for her blood and booked Marie A. Jeroue into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff gave the teenage passenger a ride home, according to the sheriff’s office.
