One Response to “Sirens: Daily police and fire roundup”

  1. A. Lurker says:

Typical behavior: I was on my way home today from Centralia at about 12:20 pm. I was under I-5 on Mellen St.. behind a black chevy with a spotlight and an exempt D license plate. Looked like an undercover pig rig to me. An ambulance was coming so we turned the corner and got out of his way just short of the southbound freeway onramp. The ambulance passed us and off we went. The black car in front of me went right across the gore point and immediately into the fast lane. He was truckin right along so I accelerated to 60 and put my rig on cruise. When we hit the Home Depot exit, he was approx. 1/4 mile ahead of me, maybe a little more. When I was at the railroad overpass just west of greenhill, the ambulance had gone over the 13th street overpass, while the speeding black rig was still in the fast lane. That pissed me off a little so I sped up a bit to see what the black rig was up to. He stayed in the fast lane the whole way ecxept for the time the people in the fast lane were going to slow for him. He exited I-5 at the White pass exit, headed east, 5 cars or so back from the stop sign. I wanted to see who was driving so I planned on going west on Avery Rd. I didn’t have a lot of time to look when I went past him, but this is what I saw. The driver had on a short sleeved dark blue shirt like a cop would wear. I didn’t see any patches or a badge on the shirt because I didn’t have a lot of time to look, and once I saw the cell phione he was talking into, I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. I have been fined quite a bit and paid extra insurance premiums for same behaviors. I’m sure the pig lovers on here will try to justify his behaviors. As far as I’m concerned, it is BULLSHIT that they are above the law!
