A sheriff’s deputy sent to check on a man who didn’t show up for work on Friday or since then, found him dead beneath his rolled over tractor east of Onalaska yesterday.

The 63-year-old was located on a trail in a wooded area behind the residence at the 3500 block of state Route 508, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

“From the investigation, it appears that he was driving the tractor down the hill and began to skid, and hit a small embankment which caused the tractor to roll over onto him,” Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said.

The piece of equipment was an International Harvester with a brush hog attached, Brown said.

The sheriff’s office indicated the coroner would be releasing the victim’s identity.

So sad hearing the news of Tim’s passing. I will miss him dearly. I was a patient of his for a few years, he was always so kind to me. Recently he was telling me how much he loved his job, that it made him feel good knowing that he was able to help people who were in pain feel better, this was the reason he loved coming into work every morning. R.I.P Tim. Praying for the family as they go through this difficult time. I know Tim loved his dogs dearly, I know they must miss him very much, I hope someone is taking good care of them.

The world suffers the loss of our beloved Dr. Tim.
A finer person has yet to be found.
Tim was a true friend to all that knew him. What a gentleman Tim was.
He helped so many and gave 100% to his patients. I’m positive that he kept me from being paralyzed at a time when we still had small children to raise. He administered FREE care to our children, and we credit him with saving the life of our daughter, who had extremely severe asthma from birth.
Tim will NEVER be forgotten and he’ll be remembered lovingly, always.
To his family; I cant tell you how sad I am at hearing this. Tim was the very best and we loved him dearly. We’re so sorry for your tremendous loss.
