THEFT, THEFT, THEFT

• A deputy responded yesterday afternoon to a residential burglary at the 100 block of Topaz Court outside Winlock. It appeared someone manipulated the lock on a sliding door to get inside, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Stolen was an Ellipsis 8 electronic tablet and an outdoor lantern, according to the sheriff’s office. Cmdr. Dusty Breen said the incident occurred on Monday between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

• Centralia police were called about 6:15 p.m. yesterday to the 1000 block of L Street where a motorcycle had been stolen from a garage. It was subsequently found a couple of blocks away, according to the Centralia Police Department. Police are investigating.

• Centralia police were called to the 800 block of Ham Hill Road in Centralia about 12:15 p.m. yesterday where a bicycle had been stolen from a garage.

• A lawn mower was reported stolen yesterday from the 600 block of K Street in Centralia.

• A 38-year-old homeless person was arrested about 12:30 p.m. yesterday for second-degree theft in a case associated with the 1800 block of Cooks Hill Road in Centralia. Jason A. Landry was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• An unspecified type of yard ornament was stolen from inside a fenced yard at the 700 block of Euclid Way in Centralia, according to a report made to police yesterday.

• Police were called at 7:50 p.m. yesterday to a vehicle prowl at the 600 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia. A window was smashed and someone rummaged through the vehicle but it’s unknown if anything is missing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

FRAUD

• Chehalis police were called about 9:25 a.m. yesterday to Bishop Road about a suspected altered prescription. The case is under investigation, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

UNDERAGE DRINKING

• Chehalis police were called about 7:40 p.m. yesterday and told a 15-year-old girl had been drinking beer taken from a relative’s home. The case is being referred to prosecutors for possible charges of third-degree theft as well as minor in possession/consumption of alcohol, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Centralia police were called to the 2600 block of Eureka Avenue at 7:20 a.m. yesterday where someone had intentionally struck several garbage cans with their vehicle.
