INTRUDER CAPTURED ON CAMERA

• A state Department of Corrections officer in the area to check on a client happened on a burglary yesterday morning outside Chehalis at the 100 block of Forest-Napavine Road East. Deputies responding about 10:30 a.m. learned the front door had been forced open and a window broken, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The DOC officer saw a slender white male  with tattoos on both arms leaving the area with another male in an older Honda or Toyota passenger car, according to the sheriff’s office. It appeared some of the resident’s belongings had been piled up by the front door, Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said this morning. The victim provided video that showed the intruder, according to Brown.

  1. Good Grief says:

Occasionally people come up with a super simple idea for a complex problem without realizing that with such a big problem most simple solutions that work HAVE been applied, and most of the rest of the ideas have been tried and don’t work.

How can anyone see most of the homeless on the streets and believe they are employable? That they have transportation to jobs, especially in a city where the buses stop running at eight (and where entry level jobs are mostly swing and graveyard shifts)? That they can get clean and fresh smelling enough to not offend the public? That they can be called in for work when they have no phones? That they have an alarm to get them up in time? That they have social skills? What employer is willing to hire someone covered in urine, addicted to drugs or living in active psychosis?

It seems so simple – just “get a job” but that is not a solution. That is akin to Marie Antoinnette’s answer to being told the French citizens were starving because they had no bread: “then let them eat cake”.

So people on DOC supervision are now considered clients? That’s a new one.

  3. Sherman says:

Feels good to be nice, doesn’t it Mr. Peabody?

  4. Red tape says:

Peabody maybe if gave them more fluoride they could get out of the tent and into a business suit. For every success story there are 20 who are getting hand outs because they have nothing to contribute to society or refuse to out of some deep rooted laziness and just plain hate for the workin man!!! How can you give someone structure who lives by the ways of anarchy and survives and even thrives off not giving a crap,…?

  5. Peabody Slim says:

It’s my opinion that alot of people need a structured enviroment to make them do their best. Some have mental health issues also. I also see people with missing limbs that need help. I know Im guilty of giving a few 20’s here and there to the guy missing part of his leg. In all I would like to see a homeless shelter sucess story. If one person is helped back on their feet the shelter is worth it. Welfare is a joke and needs to drug test everyone instead of giving out our hard earned Tax Dollars. But the Government knows best right?

  6. Red tape says:

Look at that guys pants closely his pocket it is bulging with round type object. Kinda looks like the siloettte of a drug smoking device. Hope they catch this tweaker.

  7. Red tape says:

Homeless people want to be homeless. You could always get a job.

  8. Peabody Slim says:

The Government needs to accept the homeless. If they want to allow LGBT type of people a 3rd bathroom then why not provide a place for the homeless. This is not a laughing matter with prices amd taxes on the rise this could be someone you know.
