News brief: Chehalis pursuit of patrol car

CHEHALIS – Chehalis Police Department spokesperson Linda Bailey said officers are all out after a patrol car was stolen, believed to belong to Chief Glenn Schaffer.

Bailey said she understood the state patrol was involved in a vehicle pursuit in the area of Airport Road, and then she heard a patrol car was taken.

Schaffer drives a gray unmarked Chevrolet Impala, she said.

Bailey said she couldn’t confirm other details at this time.

    The car theft problem in the twin citys is so bad now even the cops are getting jacked. Well goes to show ya are the police crime preventors or just crime reporters taking note’s after the crime has been committed. Lol we need some pictures of the patrol car high centerd on the rail road tracks. Perfect MeMe. ROTFLMAO.

    Car was recovered near South street in Centralia I believe. Was told that car was driven down the tracks until the individual could go no further when it was abandoned in haste.
