PURSUIT STOPS AT DEAD END

• A 21-year-old Centralia resident who accelerated away from a police officer, made a couple of quick turns and ended up in a cul-de-sac at the end of Pear Street yesterday was arrested, for an outstanding warrant, second-degree driving with a suspended license, possession of heroin and felony eluding, according to the Centralia Police Department. Tavryn L. Lindsey was booked into the Lewis County Jail after the approximately 10:30 a.m. incident, according to police.

UNRULY CUSTOMER

• Police were called about 8:40 a.m. yesterday to a store the 400 block of West Main Street in Centralia where a male had allegedly assaulted a clerk when he was asked to leave. The case is being investigated as a fourth-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called to the 1300 block of Lum Road abut 6:10 p.m. yesterday for a vehicle prowl. A window was broken and a purse and shoes were stolen, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Police were called just after 5 p.m. yesterday to the 1400 block of Lum Road in Centralia where someone had broken the window out of a parked car.  It’s unknown if anything was taken., according to the Centralia Police Department.

MINI WARRANT SWEEP

• Centralia police arrested six people wanted for outstanding warrants at the 200 block of South Buckner Street at about 9 p.m. yesterday. Three of them were booked into the Lewis County Jail and three of them were given a court date and then released, according to the Centralia Police Department.
