CHEHALIS –  A rural Chehalis 19-year-old arrested this summer for sexual abuse of two younger female relatives pleaded guilty today in Lewis County Superior Court.

Conlan M. Craig has been held in the Lewis County Jail since his arrested on Aug. 1.

Judge James Lawler accepted Craig’s pleas to one count of second-degree child rape and one count of first-degree child rape.

The original allegations suggested incidents began when he was as young as 10 to 12 years old and the girls were as young as 5 years old. His lawyer David Arcuri told the judge the charges had been amended to include only activity after he turned 18 to make sure when he is sentenced, he will be on lifetime supervision.

His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 8.

In Mexico they just would have had a forced marriage and been done with it. Good job arcuri do you know the cost$$ of lifetime supervision? We are giving people useless jobs for decades all because he was raped as well and raped others. Seems like Vicious cycle trying to profit from this makes you just as bad as the perpetrator with no end insight. The taxpayer is the victim. Arcuri is the rapist. Quit making us pay for these POS.

What do you bet he gets 5 years? Out in 3?

  3. BobbyinLC says:

I agree with you Ron about no coming back. Maybe…maybe if it had been caught when he was still young himself with some kind of treatment but I remain dubious (wow big word ha ha) about the effect of treatment for sex offenders.
I hope the victims are getting the help they need to cope with this abuse.

Actually Bobby I think the proper punishment for this pervert is lifetime supervision in a grave. I don’t think that there is any coming back from being a rapist or child molester.

wow as young as 10 and continued throughout all that time. Those poor little girls. Life time supervision should be in a prison.
