PUP IMPOUNDED

• Chehalis police were called about 7:40 a.m. yesterday by an individual who reported a small dog had been outside all night without shelter in a backyard at the 100 block of Southwest Alfred Street. An animal control officer responded and was unable to make contact with anyone at the home, according to the Chehalis Police Department. It was extremely cold and the officer could see the animal was shivering and had compact frozen snow around its feet, according to police. The dog was impounded and taken to the Lewis County Animal Shelter for safekeeping, department spokesperson Linda Bailey said. The owner was notified, she said. Overnight lows in Chehalis were 32 degrees.

UNRULY PATIENT

• A 55-year-old Centralia man was arrested after police were called just after 4 o’clock this morning to Providence Centralia Hospital because he allegedly spit in a nurse’s face. Steven M Fullerton was arrested for third-degree assault and then released, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BREAK-IN

• Centralia police were called to the 900 block of Orton Street about 1:30 p.m. yesterday to take a report that someone had stolen plumbing parts from a residence that is under construction.

OTHER THEFT

• Police were called to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road in Centralia just after noon yesterday to take a report of the theft of medication.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called just before 3 p.m. yesterday to the 2000 block of Southwest Salsbury Avenue where someone had broken the window of a parked vehicle and stolen a purse.

• An officer was called at 12:30 p.m. yesterday to the 800 block of West Main Street in Centralia where someone had entered an unlocked parked vehicle and stolen a set of keys.

• Police were called just before 12:30 p.m. yesterday to the 900 block of Johnson Road in Centralia where someone had broken out the window of a parked vehicle and stolen a gym bag.

• Centralia police were called about 11:25 a.m. yesterday for a vehicle prowl at the 600 block of H Street in which someone broke out a window and took a purse.

• An officer was called about 9:30 a.m. yesterday for a vehicle prowl at the 1200 block of View Avenue in Centralia. The stereo was taken, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• A deputy called to a rollover accident this morning at the 1600 block of Pleasant Valley Road found the two teenage occupants uninjured, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

    No negatives to the Bishop whom lives high on Salsbury Hill above the lessers! Let your “investments” and the POLICE keep us safe!

    I don’t get it! How many times have there been break ins on Salsbury Pl and Salsbury Ave? So many reports over LCN site about SALSBURY… You might start considering it is an “INSIDE” job!
