Within Green Hill School, the prison, is the Green Hill Academic School which is part of the Chehalis school district. As a part of rehabilitation, the “residents” can earn actual high school diplomas or GED’s. As a part of DSHS, there is a constant political tug-of-war between correctional and rehabilitative concerns. Unfortunately most of the vocational programs have been eliminated due to budget and the public’s hard heart ( Remember Trump and the NY park’s “Wilding.”)PS. I remember the old three story open blockhouse design. I’m glad to see that the kids can’t just run out the front gate anymore, but sad to see how violent they’ve become.

Wyatt, this guy didn’t just make a small mistake. He is a violent and dangerous person. He belongs in prison.

Please read the article about him in the Chronicle and pay attention to this sentence. “The teen is serving time on a second-degree murder conviction, and has been referred to prosecutors three times on custodial assault charges, according to police.”

    What we learned about Wyatt:
    1. Big fan of the “zero accountability” model
    2. Doesn’t know who actually resides at Green Hill, or how they got there
    3. Possesses no knowledge of the role professional institutional custodians/counselors play in rehabilitation, nor the training required to maintain those positions
    4. Has no problem sharing his uninformed opinions, rather than becoming educated.
    Thanks, Wyatt! We got you!

  4. Wyatt says:

Yeh they are less human because they made mistakes in their young lives. Without them hundreds of corrections officers and green hill employees would have to Get real Jobs at places like Walmart with no Medical or dental Benefits. Convicts! *throws rotten tomatoes

But it might hurt someones feelings.

  6. That Guy says:

Can we please stop calling them student-inmates? They are convicted criminals.
