GUN SCARE
• Deputies called about a person threatening people with a firearm at a trailer park in the 100 block of Cowlitz Loop Road in Toledo about 8:40 p.m. on Friday arrested a 48-year-old man for felony harassment. Paul A. Komara, a tenant, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The case is also being referred for fourth-degree assault as Komara allegedly shoved one of the park managers, according to the sheriff’s office.
MOTEL ROOM SCARE
• Centralia police were called to the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard about 7:40 p.m. on Friday where a 36-year-old woman was found passed out in someone else’s hotel room and allegedly assaulted the occupants of the room when they told her to leave. Rachel J. Rider, a homeless person, allegedly gave a false name to officers, according to the Centralia Police Department. She was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree trespassing, obstructing a law enforcement officer and two counts of fourth-degree assault, according to police.
BURGLARY
• Chehalis police were called about 6 p.m. yesterday to take a report of a break-in to an unlocked garage on the 500 block of Northwest Quincy Place. Missing was a Stihl leaf blower, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• An estimated $1,200 worth of tools and other items were discovered missing yesterday afternoon from a detached garage on the 200 block of Woodard Road in Chehalis, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
• A pressure washer and various tools were stolen in a burglary to a storage shed at the 1500 block of Lewis Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 9:40 a.m. on Friday. The suspect or suspects also attempted to break into the coin reservoir of a coin-operated clothes dryer, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A 35-year-old Chehalis resident was arrested for second-degree burglary after Chehalis police were called about 8 a.m. on Friday to the 1100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue about about an unauthorized person entering a laundry room and allegedly damaging a washing machine and a lock. Michael P. Doven was was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
OTHER THEFT
• Chehalis police assisted the Napavine Police Department by retrieving a jacket which had been stolen, with a significant amount of money in it, on Saturday, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• Chehalis police were called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 4:40 p.m. on Friday to take a report of the theft of merchandise totaled approximately $3,596 two days earlier. Taken were two computer towers and a monitor, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• Police were called to the 1300 block of Alexander Street in Centralia about 3:15 p.m. on Friday to take a report that cash was stolen from a resident’s drawer.
• Chehalis police were called about 2:20 p.m. on Friday by an individual who said she believed someone took her wallet from her purse while she was shopping at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.
• Centralia police were called to take a report of the theft of aluminum wheels from the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
CAR PROWL
• A 32-year-old Centralia woman was arrested after a call about 2:50 p.m. yesterday regarding a vehicle prowl at the 2500 block of Eureka Avenue in Centralia. Kendra J. Chancey was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A Stihl chainsaw was reported stolen out of the back of a pickup truck at the 500 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 11:25 a.m. on Saturday.
• Tools and a tool box were reported stolen from a vehicle at the 600 block of West Main Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 2 p.m. on Friday.
• Sometime between 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1 p.m. on Friday, someone stole a bottle of Oxycodone from a vehicle at the 300 block of Southwest Third Street in Chehalis, according to a report made to police on Friday afternoon.
• Chehalis police were called to the 300 block of Northeast Washington Avenue about 1:45 p.m. on Friday for a vehicle prowl in which a wallet and cigarettes were stolen.
• Police were called to the 100 block of West Pine Street in Centralia about 10:40 a.m. on Friday where someone had stolen a doghouse from a vehicle.
DRUGS, WARRANT
• Two people were arrested after contact with an officer at the 400 block of West Main Street in Centralia just after 1 p.m. on Saturday. Brandon L. Caley, 20, of Winlock was cited for minor in possession of marijuana and then released, according to the Centralia Police Department. Stormie M. McKenzie, 19, of Winlock, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on an outstanding warrant issued out of Lewis County Superior Court.
• A 37-year-old Winlock man wanted on an outstanding warrant was captured by a Lewis County Sheriff’s Office K-9 after he ran from a residence to a wooded area near the 100 block of Southeast First Street in Winlock on Friday evening. K-9 Axel was assisting the Toledo Police Department. Steven R. Luurs Jr. was was booked into the Lewis County Jail.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• A motorist was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after her car left the roadway yesterday afternoon on northbound Interstate 5 near milepost 79 and landed in a creek. Firefighters called about 2:20 p.m. report that witnesses helped the woman and her small dog out of the vehicle, with the passenger compartment about halfway filled with water.
