MUGGED BY TEENS
• Centralia police were called about 6:35 p.m. yesterday when an individual reported he was approached by several teenagers and asked for money at the 200 block of East Chestnut Street, but when he pulled out his wallet to give a small amount a suspect grabbed the cash and ran, according to the Centralia Police Department.
BURNED BY TEENS
• Police responded to Centralia High School about 2:40 p.m. yesterday to investigate an incident in which two boys in a shop class allegedly placed heated pieces of metal on two of their fellow students, which caused minor injuries. The case is being forwarded to prosecutors for evaluation for possible felony assault charges, according to the Centralia Police Department.
BUSINESS BURGLARY
• Centralia police were called just after 1 p.m. yesterday to the 100 block of South Tower Avenue for a burglary of numerous tools from a job site.
• Chehalis police were called about 12:30 p.m. yesterday to the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue where it appeared someone had broken into a recreational vehicle.
FRAUD
• A 21-year-old Centralia resident was arrested for forgery and second-degree theft after being contacted by police during a “suspicious circumstances contact” about 5:40 a.m. today associated with the 1800 block of Shamock Drive in Centralia. Police detectives had already been conducting an investigation in which Dakota S. Duel, 21 of Centralia, was a suspect, according to the Centralia Police Department. Duel was was booked into the Lewis County Jail.
AUTO THEFT
• A gold 1996 Honda Accord was reported as stolen during the night from the 900 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police just before 7 o’clock this morning. Its license plate is APH 8559, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Centralia police were called just before 7 a.m. today to take a report that a a gray 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup, was stolen during the night from the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road. Its license plate reads C59008C, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A deputy was called just after 10 p.m. yesterday to the 1000 block of Big Hanaford Road outside Centralia where a bronze colored 1992 Honda Accord EX had been stolen sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The car had been left unlocked with the keys inside, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The license plate is 444 ZMO, according to the sheriff’s office.
• A red 1990 Honda Civic was stolen from the 1700 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 9:40 p.m. yesterday. License plate is BDN 4963, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Centralia police were called just after 11 a.m. yesterday regarding a brown and beige 1988 Ford pickup stolen from the parking lot of a business at the 300 block of East Van Buren Street. It has a license plate reading B42052R, according to the Centralia Police Department.
TIRES, WHEELS REMOVED
• Centralia police were called by three victims yesterday morning who reported sets of wheels and tires had been stolen off their parked vehicles, at the 100 block of South Railroad Avenue, the 600 block of K Street and the 300 block of North Iron Street. Police have no suspect information this morning but officers are investigating, according to the Centralia Police Department.
CAR PROWL
• Centralia police were called about 2:50 p.m. yesterday to take a report that several items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the 1000 block of E Street.
• Centralia police were called to the 1100 block of F Street about 11:30 a.m. yesterday for an overnight vehicle prowl.
• Chehalis police were called for a vehicle prowl about 11:30 a.m. yesterday at the 300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• A 43-year-old driver was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a rollover wreck yesterday afternoon on the 900 block of Bunker Creek Road. Deputies called to the scene about 2:30 p.m. report she was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition, had no passengers and suffered a head injury, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said the woman is from Selah.
