News brief: Low-flying military planes part of McChord competition

CHEHALIS – Lewis County residents can expect to see unusual low-flying military aircraft from other countries over the next few days during a training event to be held at McChord Air Force Base.

Some 35 nations are expected to participate in a six-day competition called an air rodeo, according to the U.S. Air Force.

Some of the flight paths are expected to be over Morton, Toledo, Winlock out to the coast and back again to Pierce County.

It is scheduled to run tomorrow through Friday.
