Lewis County Coroner Warren McLeod

Coroner Warren McLeod acknowledges he is required under state law to issue the warrants after his inquest jury determined Ron Reynolds and his son Jonathan Reynolds were responsible for the homicide, but indicates a legal issue has arisen.

In a news release this morning, McLeod writes a “complete public disclosure” will be made a week from today when his inquest is reconvened in Lewis County District Court.

McLeod calls it a temporary suspension to allow for resolution of the issue.

He stated no further details will be provided at this time.

Wow, I love it! This is what we need! Good job you guys! I will be doing my part and urging others also. Team work is what will get it rolling in the right direction!
And I am sorry to Ann Rule, Jerry Berry and you Royce Ferguson for saying what I said. The crap going on here just burns me from the inside out, it is pitiful to see what goes on here at the hands of our government. I very seriously apologize to you. You are the number one aces, along with Barbara of course. Your diligence and strength has not only begun to right the wrongs this county has done to Rhonda and her Mother, it looks like you may also right the wrong for all of Lewis County. Imagine the future of Lewis County without the major corruption. Oh man, how sweet a thought that is.

EXCELLENT IDEA ‘Concerned Citizen’! I also am posting on mine & my husbands Facebook about Rhonda & the mockery Lewis County had made of the justice she & her loved ones have been denied in the wake of her murder. Along with a news feed on our f.b., I will send personal messages to our friends and familys, to spread the word.. I know alone its not much but like you wrote, if we all start doing something, anything, Lewis County will not be allowed to drop the ball yet again!!! Just a thought, Rhonda’s mother Barb has a site called JusticeForRhonda, which you might also post whatever emails & ph. numbers you can collect? We can all add to it, copy, cut, paste & foward 🙂

  3. concerned citizen says:

I say we start calling all the national media! ill post all the numbers here tomorrow. i say if each person calls them or emails them we will get their attention. it has worked inthe past! and thanks to Sharyn at Lewis County Sirens for keeping us all updated on the newest developments!!!!!
make sure you let your voice be heard! make some noise for Ronda! CNN, Dateline, 48 hrs, abc, good morning america , everything! they need to hear Ronda’s lack of justice in Lewis county. who is with me?

  4. Royce says:

While SOME evidence has been lost or destroyed over the years by the sheriff’s office, there is plenty of evidence remaining, which evidence has been presented to TWO juries– both juries were unanimous that the death of Ronda Reynolds was homicide. The case is not “too hard” to present to and convince a third jury. If there is worry about “What points to Ron Reynolds?” The answer is “the evidence.” The authorities need only carefully and thoughtfully present the remaining evidence, not give up.

  5. Steve says:

KOMO news tonight said Ron has been placed on administrative leave and the district has started a search for an interim principal.

  6. julie says:

Yes, Lewis county has had 13yrs to get their ‘ducks in a row’. Instead many in public office have spent their time ducking their responsibility to see justice brought fourth in the case of Rhonda Reynolds. Hopefully McLoud is spending his extra time making sure everything is in place to finally bring Ron Renolds & his son Jonathan in for good. National coverage is around the corner & will scrutinize everything that’s been done (or not) by your officials in Rhondas case. You are not alone in Lewis County, we all finally paying attention to the wrongs that have plagued your citizens in Lewis County, thanks to Barb, her tireless work, her dream team, her friends, the Lewis countys faithful defenders of truth, Ann Rule & all the news outlets that have kept trying to get the masses to pay attention to the efforts of many Lewis county officials who have cruelly tried to cover up Rhondas murder. Well I’m here to tell you, I’m listening, and i am not alone. There is many, many people that feel as I do, we won’t let Lewis County bury the truth of Rhondas murder any longer. So yes, get your ducks in a row but get it done fast because 13yrs is more than ample time get your job done.

  7. linda says:

we wouldn’t had to wait for 13 years if we had a real pathologist with a MD in the first place!

  8. Lisa Mitchell says:

Lewis County is a sorry excuse for justice. Get your act together and let Rhonda Reynolds rest in peace and let her family have closure!

  9. linda eller says:

I guess shame is not in our court house, And I always wonder if Ronda was family member of anyone in the court, how would this be done different. It dose not take much to know how it would be then=== We need a hero AMEN AMEN

  10. Boss Hogg says:

“And hey, where are Ann Rule, and Jerry Berry, and Royce Ferguson? Why arent you guys doing something? What the hell. Are you going to just sit there and let them sweep it under the rug again? ”

You cmon, they did all the yeoman work, it’s up to the local citizens to carry the ball. Anything less would look like it was all orchestrated by outsiders.

  11. 1972 442 says:

I agree that the FBI needs to take the case. Don’t think for a minute that McLeod is holding up anything. He is the one that made this inquest possible in the first place. He’s been trying to do so since the day he took office. I applaud him for stepping back right now and making sure he has his ducks in a row. You said it Concerned Citizen, It’s been 13 years. We can surely wait one more week to make sure we have a good case……

  12. Janet says:

So, where are all you knowledgeable people? Can they do this legally?
Where are Ron and Jonathan Reynolds? Are they PC’d up somewhere, under the protection of….someone?
Dont we need more national coverage on this, more people questioning why this whole circus that is going on? The more people that are seeing this means the less that can be swept under the rug and forgotten………again….RIGHT?
And hey, where are Ann Rule, and Jerry Berry, and Royce Ferguson? Why arent you guys doing something? What the hell. Are you going to just sit there and let them sweep it under the rug again? Come on, what do we do now? Do you guys want some help with this or what?
And all you fine citizens who just sit and hope things turn out right…
WHATEVER, THATS WHY IT IS LIKE IT IS HERE IN OUR LITTLE NW WA COUNTY!

  13. concerned citizen says:

CabooseMan, its been 13 years!!! and the prosecutor decided to “pull an all nighter to look at evidence”? really??? that was so nice of him to take the time to do that…

The family needs to DEMAND the FBI take the case. this is rediculious! the Sheriff has already said he wont reopen the case, the prosecutor hasnt bothered to spend any time reviewing the case until he has media breathing at his door, and now the coroner is changing what he said in court. Now they are reopening the inquest? seriously? Wednesday afternoon he released the jury to speak about the case openly, is this another mess up? how many oops do they get??
And to think, for a brief moment there were some citizens starting to have a small bit of faith in our system..

  14. Boss Hogg says:

Occupy the courthouse! Throw the bums out

  15. CabooseMan says:

I know the wheels of justice grind slowly but this is ridiculous. A whole week???

  16. cleaver1 says:

Suspects are long gone? WTF is all I can say.

  17. concerned citizen says:

wow, i sure hope they dont kill again while lewis county is “waiting”. wonder what the legal issue is… i heard the reynolds have not been seen for a while. maybe they skipped the country.. I think that Lewis county has egg on their face right now since they destroyed evidence, evidence is missing and unaccounted for, and the messed the entire investigation up from step one! The least they can do it take what is in those binders and present to a jury and go for a conviction. Obviously there is something in there since this jury found them as suspects. It really bothers me how they all ban together to CYA when this kind of stuff happens, as a citizen of lewis county, i can tell you one thing, i never want to die here or be murdered!!!

rest in peace Ronda! we wont quit fighting until justice is fulfilled.
